Book Review Request

If you are an author who believes your book has what it takes to be featured here at Book Lovers & Kindred Spirits, please contact us for more information. Our book reviews are more book features than book reviews, and we ask that the author fill out a Q&A section so that our readers can connect more with you and your book on a deeper level. 

To get your book featured at Book Lovers & Kindred Spirits it must be in one of the following genres:

• Coming-of-age books
• Young adult books
• New adult books
• Contemporary fiction
• Contemporary romance
• Historical fiction
• Literary fiction
• Women's fiction
• Family sagas

Here at Book Lovers & Kindred Spirits featured books must meet the following criteria:

• The main character must stick with you long after you've finished the final page.
• The book must leave you with a feeling that you want to read more.
• The book must make the reader want to share about it.
• There has to be an intensity about the book.
• The book has to have a strong reaction for reader. 

We are looking to feature books with strong characters in the kindred spirits essence. 

We also welcome black authors, books with black characters, books with BIPOC characters, books with diverse characters, and books that spotlight social and justice issues.  

While we focus on the above genres, we will make exceptions, but we only feature books that linger in our hearts and minds. We also acknowledge that not everyone feels the same about all books, but we are looking for books that linger with our kindred spirits.
